Organisation that has implemented good practice: The MicroLab Association
Type of organisation: NGO
Level: National
Target group: Young entrepreneurs
Aim: to give young entrepreneurs a chance to be assisted by a mentor who can provide valuable support during the various phases of the start-up and development of a business.
Description
The organisation is an Italian member of the global network of independent NGOs called Youth Business International (YBI) since 2013. The network, of which The Prince of Wales is President, has 45 member organizations nowadays. All of them help young people to start their business, offer mentoring courses, services to support and help people get backing for new “start-up” initiatives.
The project aims to develop and improve support for young people between 18-35 years old who want to start a business through free training and mentoring courses lead by a national network of Voluntary Business Mentors. The long-term aim is to create a continuative national program offering support for young people who want to start a business and decrease youth unemployment.
