Entrepreneurship Skills for Youth – Youth for Social Entrepreneurship

Aim: to help young people to realize their potential in social and economic dimensions, encourage and assist them to become social entrepreneurs.
Description:
Two modules were elaborated and implemented in the project, one on entrepreneurship and second on social entrepreneurship. This way, youngsters were encouraged and assisted in starting entrepreneurial activities, but at the same time introduced to the idea of being socially responsible while doing so. The project involved 5 organizations from 5 countries, lasted two years (2018 – 2019) and a variety of activities were organized:
- the kick-off meeting of the partners in Mexico,
- collection of good practices and policy initiatives involving young people into entrepreneurial activities in order to review and incorporate those existing methods in the training module,
- collection of personal success stories from social entrepreneurs,
- job shadowing of 2 people in all involved countries,
- development of a curriculum and learning materials for a two-module training, one generally about entrepreneurship (e.g., topics like entrepreneur mindset, business planning etc.), and a second one about social one,
- interim project meeting of the partners in Cyprus,
- training for youth workers in Szeged in order to disseminate prepared curriculum,
- national pilot training and dissemination workshops in each involved country,
- final project conference
The materials elaborated within the project’s framework are based on good national practices and provide comprehensive, evidence-based and tested learning materials that can be further used by youth workers. The project was co-funded by the Erasmus+ program.
