Aim: to support young people who have difficulties with the transition from school to the labor market and provide them with new skills, knowledge, improve their communication, gain confidence and hope for the future.
Description:
SpaceLab combines methods of open youth work, vocational training, coaching but also recreational and sports activities. Program targets young people who belong to the category of “NEETs” to bring them back to education, training or employment. The lab staff provide socio-pedagogical assistance and counseling, individual support in the development of their career or educational plan, and job application training.
Spacelab is based in 4 locations across the city. The various SpaceLab locations offer different “SpaceLabs” – e.g. SpaceLab Creative, SpaceLab Design, SpaceLab Environment, SpaceLab Girls that provide various activities and professional ateliers a cultural production space – radio, theatre etc. After participation in the regular training, participants also receive a daily allowance.
