LABOUR MARKET

GO ON JOB’s topic is the labour market

Labour markets undergo dynamic transformation driven by demographic change, digitisation, extensive value chains and increased complexity in work organisation.
Although making progress, labour markets in many EU Member States are still not fully recovered from the economic crisis that started in 2008 and we don’t know what the medium/long term consequence of the present COVID19 crisis will be. Lifelong learning, up-skilling and re-skilling are some of the strategies each of us should look at. In our project we’ll face the topic by different points of view, looking mainly at young people needs, challenging and opportunities.

YOUTH WORK

GO ON JOB is for youth workers

“Youth work is a broad term covering a large scope of activities of a social, cultural, educational or political nature both by, with and for young people. Increasingly, such activities also include sport and services for young people. Youth work belongs to the area of  ‘out-of-school’ education, as well as specific leisure time activities managed by professional or voluntary youth workers and youth leaders and is based on non-formal learning processes and on voluntary participation”.

Peter Lauritzen, former head of the Youth Department and Deputy Director at the Council of Europe’s Directorate of Youth and Sport

EURES

GO ON JOB valorises the opportunities EURES offers to young people

Launched in 1994, EURES is a European cooperation network of employment services, designed to facilitate the free movement of workers. The network has always worked hard to ensure that European citizens can benefit from the same opportunities, despite language barriers, cultural differences, bureaucratic challenges, diverse employment laws and a lack of recognition of educational certificates across Europe.

E-LEARNING
